168. Eleazer6 Quimby (Eleazer5, Robert4, John3, Robert2), born about 1755, married Sarah CLAY, served from Candia, New Hampshire 1777-1780 in the Revolutionary War. Eleazer Quimby was listed as a recruit in 1777 at Candia,
Rockingham, New Hampshire, and 1778 Candia, Rockingham Co., New Hampshire, as "men enlisted
into Col. Webster's (17th) Regiment, 1778 for three years", and January 1780 Candia, Rockingham Co., New Hampshire, Rev War, "Bounty afterwards
deducted from the depreciation, Jan 1780" Eleazer Quimby 20 pounds 8 schillings.
A deed dated March 9, 1787 at Plainfield, Cheshire county, New Hampshire, witnessed February 2, 1788, and
recorded June 22, 1795, Eleazer6 is grantee
for 40 acres in Plainfield, and on June 21, 1788 at Plainfield a deed dated June 21, 1788,witnessed March 26,
1790,
and recorded June 22, 1795, Eleazer6 is
grantee for 27 acres in Plainfield.
And
on June 10, 1808, Plainfield, New Hampshire Eleazer6 gains
another deed; noted and recorded September 12, 1808 for 40 acres
in Plainfield
Eleazer6 died August 10, 1808 in Plainfield and is buried the Cemetery in East Plainfield.
Deed of probate, dated 10 Feb 1810,
recorded 20 Apr 1810 "real estate of
Eleazer Quimby late of Plainfield" names his four children, and
"widow".

Jonathan7 Quimby (Eleazer6, Eleazer5, Robert4, John3, Robert2), born December 10, 1792 at Sullivan county, New Hamsphire, married Nancy ANNIS, daughter of Solomon and Susannah (Bosworth) ANNIS, she was born in 1794 at Orange county, Vermont, and died in 1896 at Northfield, Vermont. Jonathan7 died April 19, 1850.
