Jason8 Quimby (Richard7, Eliphalet6, Tristram5, Jeremiah4, John3, Robert2), born 1801, Hooskett, New Hampshire.


Children:


I. Jason Moore9 Quimby, born 1818, died 1894 in San Francisco, CA, married Sarah E. BIGELOW, in 1841 at Boston, married secondly in 1861 at Boston to Bedelia McGOVERN, she born in Ireland.  Jason is found living in Cambridge, Massachusetts in 1850 with his first wife and child, and by 1880 he is living in California.

i. Sarah10 Quimby, b. 1845, Boston, Mass, d. 1903 Newton, Mass.

II. Gilman M.9 Quimby, born 1823 at Gilmanton, N. H., or Cambridge, Mass. Gilman is found living  near Jason in 1850, Cambridge, Massachusetts,  in fact he is one of only two other Quimby families enumerated in Cambridge on the 1850 census. Due to his location and age I have tentatively placed him as a brother of Jason Moore9 Quimby at this time. Enumeations are as follows: 1850 at Cambridge, 1860 at Cambridge, 1870 not present, but rest of family still in Cambridge. Nothing found in later census listings. He married Eleanor "Ellen" SAMPSON, born Scotland

ii. Eliza Jane10 Quimby,  b. Sept. 16, 1848, Cambridge;
iii. William G.10 Quimby,  born 1850;
iv. Albert F.10 Quimby, b.1853, Cambridge, d. 1903, Boston.
