GREEN, John H. HOPKINS, Lucy 28 Dec 1841 Racine Co., WI

Lucy HOPKINS (1776-1850) notes:
She was the widow of
Matthew HOPKINS (1772-1820), and the daughter of Simeon WRIGHT of Rutland, Vermont.
This family migrated from Vermont thru Ontario county, NY to Ohio and on to Indiana before spreading out even further.
Lucy is living 1850 in Portage, St. Joseph, Indiana with youngest son Dewitt C. HOPKINS, and beside another son Caleb HOPKINS.
In 1840 Caleb HOPKINS is located in Rush, Champaign, Ohio as is Nehemiah GREEN aged 70-80 also born in Vermont .
Lucy HOPKINS married Nehemiah GREEN, 3 of Sept. 1836 in Champaign, Ohio.
(only other GREENs in Champaign county in 1840
are John GREEN and Samuel GREEN both aged 50-59)
The above Lucy HOPKINS who married John H. GREEN may be same Lucy noted above or her daughter Lucy HOPKINS, born 1809 who first married Mr. PENNOYER and secondly to Holton CHIPMAN. Research is ongoing at this time.
