Sylvester Quimby born about 1825 in New York, married Martha A. unknown who was born about 1828, both born in Tompkins county. Living in 1850 in Cortlandville, Cortland, New York in household of Thomas B. and Eliza CHAFEE of Massachusetts  He died at Dryden, March 15, 1851, and Martha died November 15, 1853, buried at the Old cemetery, Dryden, New York.
