Asahel7 Quimby (Harper6, Asahel5, Robert4, John3. Robert2), born June 20, 1797. Married first Mary "Polly" ABBOTT, daughter of Ezra, who died June 27, 1827, and he married second June 22, 1828 to Sarah BENNETT. (She later married second to Dimond SHAW) After the death of his father Aashel removed from Sanbornton and
settled in New Chester, later named Hill, New Hampshire along with the
family of Jeremiah6 Quimby who evidently took Asahel under wing. Asahel was the sheriff of Grafton county and he died of "Fits" July 25, 1849, he had been ill, all of one day when he died.
Erskine7 Quimby (Harper6, Asahel5, Robert4, John3. Robert2), born July 27, 1799, married Charlotte PARKER who was born 1803 in Pembroke. She died in 1867 at Sanbornton, he died at Hill in 1876.
John Taylor Gilman7 Quimby (Harper6, Asahel5, Robert4, John3. Robert2), born February 24, 1813, married in 1830 at Plaistow, Rockinghiam, New Hampshire to Louisa COLBY. Resided 1840 in Hill, New Hamsphire, in 1850 he is in Wentworth, New Hampshire, and in Saratoga, New York between 1855 and 1870. By 1880 he is in Marion, Indiana, with wife and his married daughter.
