144. Jeremiah6 Quimby (Jeremiah5,
Jeremiah4, John3, Robert2), born before 1765, and married Olive SANDERS/SAUNDERS, in 1784 at New Chester, New Hampshire. Living in
New Chester, Grafton, New Hampshire in 1790 and 1800 beside father. By
1810 Jeremiah5 is must have died as he is no longer enumerated with his
sons Jeremiah6, Ephraim6 and Henry6 in New Chester. Jeremiah's houshold
shows he is aged over 45, with 2 males aged 16 to 26, one male aged
10-16 (Isaac7) and three males under 10 (Jacob7, son7 and
Jeremiah7) . Ephraim and Henry are living next door with their families.
Jeremiah6 does not appear in any later census, so he evidently died
between 1810 and 1830. He took under wing Asahel7 Quimby, orphan of Harper6, who lived out his life in close proximity.

Isaac7 Quimby (Jeremiah6, Jeremiah5, Jeremiah4, John3, Robert2), born between 1784 and 1800, married Polly SARGENT. Isaac7 is living in New Chester, Grantham, New Hamsphire in 1830 with one son aged between 5 and 10, one daughter aged 10-15 and his spouse. Polly died in 1844 and Isaac7 died February 7th, 1848.

Jeremiah7 is living in New Chester, Grantham county, New Hamsphire in 1830, aged 30-40, and with 5 other males in his household, as follows: one male aged 10-15, (?Jacob8 and Henry8), 2 males aged 5-10, (Daniel8 and Moses8), and one male under 5, (Ransom8). In 1840 Jeremiah7 is living in Franklin, Merrimack, New Hampshire with his wife Abigail MORRILL, with one son, Ransom8 and 2 daughters. By 1850 Jeremaih7 is living in Concord, New Hampshire with the family of Nathan STICKNEY, Moses8 is in Sanbornton, living with WOODMAN family and Ransom8 is also in Sanbornton, living with Jesse INGALLS and family. After the death of his wife Abigail in 1856, Jeremiah7 married Mrs. Elizabeth POWELL (nee CHANDLER) in Concord, New Hampshire. The 1860 census shows Jeremiah7 and Elizabeth still living in Concord, New Hampshire, including Ransom8 and Moses8 again. by 1870 Jeremiah and Elizabeth are living in Bow, Merrimack, New Hampshire. Jeremiah7 died July 13, 1871, and 1880 as Elizabeth is living with one of her sons by her first marriage in 1880.

Married first Mary "Polly" ABBOTT, daughter of Ezra, who died June 27, 1827, and he married second June 22, 1828 to Sarah BENNETT. (She later married second to Dimond SHAW) After the death of his father Aashel removed from Sanbornton and settled in New Chester, later named Hill, New Hampshire along with the family of Jeremiah6 Quimby who evidently took Asahel under wing. Asahel was the sheriff of Grafton county and he died of "Fits" July 25, 1849, he had been ill, all of one day when he died.
